Jeffrey is a well-known and accomplished figure in the startup industry, with a track record of spotting and nurturing young companies to success. He is a Founder and Partner for the Asia Fund X at MSW Ventures, focusing on promising startups in the digital economies of Southeast Asia. He is also a Partner for the Asia Fund II at Quest Ventures, a top venture capital firm in Asia. During his time there, he mentored and provided invaluable capital support to young startups, unlocking new opportunities and propelling them forward towards exponential growth. In addition to this, Jeffrey is a Partner at Mettle & Salt Partners, a business advisory firm, where he provides commercial go-to-market advice and oversees digital transformation programs.
Before his successful foray into the startup world, Jeffrey spent over 26 years leading some of the biggest players in the advertising and media industry. He made history at the age of 29 by becoming the youngest MD in an international agency outpost, and later played a crucial role in transforming Starcom MediaVest Group into a digital-driven entity with operations across Southeast Asia. Jeffrey's unique edge lies in his deep domain knowledge and expansive network of contacts, cultivated over decades in the industry.
Apart from his many achievements, Jeffrey is also committed to giving back to the community. He serves on the board of Assisi Hospice and Singapore Discovery Centre, and is involved with several startups in the region. Jeffrey is also a proud father of three and enjoys indulging in hobbies such as cheering on his beloved Arsenal FC and quoting Shakespeare with friends. For Jeffrey, leadership is about service, and he is an advocate for values-based leadership and meritocracy.
